BAISAKHI CELEBRATION

“Baisakhi, the festival of joy and happiness, it holds great significance for farmers as it marks the beginning of the new harvest season. It is a special time when they pray for a bountiful harvest and express gratitude for their livelihood. Keeping with the tradition of celebrating festivals with great fervour and enthusiasm, Shri Ram Global Pre School, Mall Road, Ludhiana, celebrated Baisakhi with much joy and excitement. The school premises were beautifully decorated to reflect the essence of the harvest season. Children arrived in vibrant, traditional Punjabi attire, adding colour and charm to the celebration. They were introduced to the journey of wheat — from the fields to our kitchen tables — helping them understand the efforts behind their daily bread. A special ‘Best Baisakhi Attire Picture’ contest was organised for mothers and children, where participants shared themed pictures celebrating the spirit of Baisakhi. The little ones also took part in a creative craft activity, making corn using bubble wrap, which added a fun and hands-on element to their learning. The beats of the dhol, a traditional Punjabi instrument, filled the air as children danced joyfully with their teachers and friends. The celebration was filled with laughter, learning and lively performances, making it a memorable day for everyone.”
