WHY SHRI RAM GLOBAL PRE SCHOOL

At Shri Ram Global Pre School we guide young children who are venturing out of their comfort zone for the first time to teach them the basic skills of life. Every child is an individual. To be able to fulfil the needs of each child and to make them independent in their actions is what preschool teaching is all about. Thus, pre-school teachers require different methods of teaching. These various methods provide us with an understanding of different styles of teaching and assist to fill up the gaps.

Play-way

When enjoyment is introduced in an activity, it is said to be done in the “play way” spirit. The play way makes difficult and boring task, delightful and pleasurable to the doer.

Play way method is based on “Activity Based” learning; it stimulates creative skill and self-expression. This system is life oriented; it serves school as a second home for the children. The needs of the children can be fulfilled and increased. It narrows down the gap between the children and the teachers and creates apt learning environment. It helps to prolong the memory skill and provides opportunities to all children to participate. Therefore, the teacher has to plan in the initial stage itself to fulfill the needs of every child and act accordingly.

PRINCIPLES OF REGGIO EMILIA AS A PHILOSOPHY METHODOLOGYGIO PHILOSOPHY

The Reggio Emilia approach to teaching young children puts the natural development of children as well as the close relationships that they share with their environment at the center of its philosophy. In this approach, there is a belief that children have rights and should be given opportunities to develop their potential. “Influenced by this belief, the child is beheld as beautiful, powerful, competent, creative, curious, and full of potential and ambitious desires. Children learn through experiences of touching, moving listening, seeing and hearing. The child is also viewed as being an active constructor of knowledge rather than being seen as the target of instruction, children are seen as having the active role of an apprentice.

PRINCIPLES OF MONTESSORI AS A METHODOLOGY

The Montessori curriculum is based on research and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. It is designed to spark interest and create in children the joy of learning. Children explore concepts and develop skills at each level of understanding that prepares them for more complex lessons at the next level. Each stage builds and expands upon the previous one. Children develop most successfully when they are offered freedom to choose their activities within a structured environment. Children are provided with hands-on experiences and allowed to work until their needs are satisfied.

PRINCIPLES OF MULTIPLE INTELIGENCE AS A METHODOLOGY

The methodology is based on Harvard(The theory of Multiple intelligence was presented by a famous psychologist, Howard Gardner) psychologist, Howard Gardner’s theory,( the theory stated)

that each person had much intelligence, ranging from initial years till (up to 8) 8 years of age which was being simultaneously developed in varying degrees within different people.

The Eight intelligences are as follows: verbal / linguistic, logical / mathematical, spatial /artistic, bodily/kinaesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic/ environmental.

Each person possesses all eight intelligences (namely verbal / linguistic, logical / mathematical, spatial /artistic, bodily/kinaesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic/ environmental.);most people can develop the intelligence to an adequate level of competency- and it is our job as educators to help students develop their various intelligences by presenting our work in such a way that it can appeal to the various intelligences.(With the help of this pedagogy the educators can help the pupils reach unto the level of optimum leaning and understanding of the information to their fuller capacity)

Experiential activities

Experiential learning is a method where children actively participate and express themselves. It makes lessons personal for children by including them in the instructing process. Classes become fun activities for them. This learning technique encourages students to have first-hand experiences with materials. Experiential learning allows kids to engage in their preferred areas of interest. One of the major reasons owing to the wide usage of animation as a teaching tool as it helps learners understand complex ideas easily and in an engaging manner.
