WORLD BOOK READING DAY

“World Book Reading Day is a special occasion celebrated to inspire young minds to discover the joy and magic of reading. To mark this meaningful day, Shri Ram Global Pre-School organized a Book Sharing Day on Wednesday, 23rd April. Children were encouraged to bring their favourite storybooks to school. The classrooms buzzed with excitement as the teachers helped little readers to share their beloved stories with their peers. Through this joyful exchange, students explored new tales, characters, and adventures—fostering not only a love for reading but also the spirit of sharing and communication. Adding to the charm of the celebration, the teachers created a life-sized storybook to narrate the tale of ‘The Bear and The Bee’ by Aesop, the famous Greek fabulist. Dressed as the characters from the story, the teachers dramatically “walked out” of the giant book to bring the tale to life. This theatrical storytelling brought excitement and curiosity among the children, making the story engaging and memorable. The event successfully promoted the importance of books and storytelling in early childhood, leaving the young learners inspired and enchanted by the world of stories.”
