World Nature Conservation Day was observed at SRGPS on 29th July, 2021. It was celebrated to create awareness for the need to preserve the environment and natural resources. Saving the animals on the verge of extinction was the main agenda. The event was clubbed with International Tiger Day, in order to raise awareness about the magnificent but endangered animal.
The day started with the screening of a story about ‘The Grateful Tiger’ which was followed by the craft activity where children created Tiger puppets. Additionally, a folk tale – ‘How tiger got his stripes’ by Rov Cleveland, the story attracted all the children and the lesson was heart touching.
