Online Baisakhi Celebration with Little Blossoms Day-care, UK

Festivals are a beautiful way to connect cultures and share traditions. On the joyful occasion of Baisakhi, our students participated in an enriching online celebration in collaboration with Little Blossoms Day-care, UK. The session aimed to foster cross-cultural connections and help children understand the significance of this vibrant harvest festival. During the interaction, our students shared why and how Baisakhi is celebrated, especially in North India, where it marks the beginning of the harvest season and holds special importance for farmers. To make the session more engaging and informative, a small model depicting fields and wheat crops was shown. The children were also introduced to the journey of wheat — right from the golden fields to our kitchen tables. The different stages were beautifully explained using real-life examples: wheat grains, flour, dough and finally, bread. The session was not only educational but also heart-warming, as children of both countries came together to celebrate the traditional Indian festival. It was a wonderful blend of culture, learning and global friendship — a day to remember for all.
