“The school hosted a vibrant and festive Lohri celebration, bringing together students, mothers and staff to honour this traditional Punjabi festival. The event was a colourful affair, with children and mothers dressed in ethnic attire, adding a joyful and cultural touch to the occasion. A special highlight of the celebration was the Lohri Goodies Market, where children enthusiastically purchased traditional treats like peanuts, popcorn and jaggery candies. This not only gave them a taste of the festival’s essence but also added an element of fun to the celebration. An engaging craft activity, based on the Lohri theme, was organized, allowing students and their mothers to unleash their creativity. The celebration reached its peak with a lively Bhangra session, where everyone participated in the energetic folk dance of Punjab. The school was beautifully adorned with kites and other decorations that showcased the rich culture of Punjab. It was an opportunity for everyone to come together and learn about the cultural heritage of Punjab in an interactive and joyous way.
