CHILD DEVELOPMENT

Social emotional skill is a gradual process through which children acquire the capacity to understand, experience, express and manage emotions.
It helps the students to get along with others by learning compassion, collaboration, communication and listening. Therefore, the first and foremost thing to focus on is the environment. To be specific, if the child feels comfortable moving in that environment, the child would either willingly talk and play with his friends or respond to his teachers when something is asked.

Moreover, there is a need to maintain a balance between emotions and relationships as at the age of two the child develops an understanding about who they are, what they  feel, what to expect while interacting with others and so on. This development influences a toddler’s self-confidence, empathy, the ability to develop meaningful and lasting relationships and a sense of importance and value to those around him/her.

To conclude, it is suggested that it’s better to facilitate the child during the process of learning rather than being the knowledge provider. However, lenity to create mess should be provided as well.
