Lohri marks the beginning of harvest season and a  significant ode to the sun deity. The festival was celebrated with great joy, enthusiasm and magnificence by the Shri Ram Global Pre- School team. To make the event memorable the teachers planned a visit to each student’s residence, singing the traditional folk song ‘Sundar Mundarye’ along with a ‘Dholi’ they distributed  hampers of Lohri goodies like peanuts, rewari and popcorn, decorated with windmill craft and kites to add to the theme of the festival. The children were asked to make a wish, which the mothers wrote happily on the kites gifted to them. The objective was to keep the tradition alive and spread awareness about our culture among the new generation.
